ACM Special Interest Group on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining Recognizes NSF-Funded Scientist With Prestigious 2012 Innovation Award

The Association for Computing Machinery's (ACM) Special Interest Group on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (SIGKDD) announced that Dr. Vipin Kumar is the recipient of the organization's 2012 Innovation Award.   Kumar from the University of Minnesota serves as the lead principal investigator for an NSF Expeditions in Computing project called, "Understanding Climate Change: A Data Driven Approach."
