Early Action decisions will be posted in early December 2014.
During the Early Action decision stage, students may be admitted, deferred to the January cycle, or denied admission to Georgia College.
Deferred Decisions - The majority of our new freshmen applications are processed during the regular “rolling” admission cycle, which will begin in January and continue until April 1 or until the freshman class fills. Due to the brief Early Action review period, and the large number of applications received, a deferral to the rolling process gives the Admissions Committee more time to thoroughly evaluate your credentials. Decisions will be based on the strength of the academic curriculum, grade point average, SAT or ACT test scores, personal essay, extracurricular activities, and potential contribution to the university.
Denied Decisions – At this time, Georgia College is unable to offer admission to the university. If possible, students are encouraged to submit additional information including new SAT or ACT test scores, updated high school transcripts, letters of recommendation, or resumes in order to strengthen their portfolio.
Important Note for All Freshmen Applicants: Admissions decisions posted in this online service include Acceptance, Deferral, Wait List and Denial. Just as with admission decisions received through the mail, we recommend that students initially review their admission status privately to maintain their personal confidentiality.
