Lindsay began her career with UAA in 1995 while at the same time taking classes to earn her degree. Her “can-do” attitude and desire to see projects through gained attention by management and she quickly rose to more responsibility. Lindsay started as a student assistant, moving into a Receptionist, Administrative Secretary, Administrative Assistant, Office Manager, and currently holds her position of Assistant Director of the Career Services Center. Lindsay’s responsibilities include oversight of all CSC employment programs, which include student internships, off-campus student employment, and the mock interview program. She also has responsibility for supervising subordinate staff, budget, and special projects for the Director. Lindsay holds a professional employment interviewer credential (CEIP).

Devon Rust received a Bachelors of Arts degree in history from UAA in 2004. As Employer Relations Coordinator, Devon serves as liaison between students and potential employers. By coordinating the CSC Internship Program and bringing employers to campus for career fairs and interviews, Devon ensures that students have the opportunity to put their academic knowledge to work in the real world.

Cheryl Carpenter has attended UAA since 2004 and is aiming to receive her Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Studies in May of 2009. As Office Manager, Cheryl is a main contact for students, alumni, faculty, staff, and employers providing information on all CSC programs. She is responsible for all budget and account management, purchasing, statistical data and data entry, payroll, inventory, reconciling, monthly reports, event management and planning, and other recruiting events involved with UAA community members, students, and employers. Cheryl completes the general office duties while maintaining the soft ledgers, scheduling, office calendar and events. She handles the communication process and delivery of information between employers, faculty, students, and staff. She runs student resource programs including but not limited to resume, cover letter, job application, job information, and interview skills assistance. She is a direct contact for students seeking career/educational advancement in need of help in developing skills needed to be successful in seeking a job or career. She enjoys helping UAA students in whatever way possible and believes in having a servant’s heart. Cheryl works hard to make sure everyone who walks into the Career Services Center leaves with a positive image of UAA and all its resources available to prospective or currents students and alumni. She is a firm believer in treating people the way she would like to be treated.

Katie Marquette

Katie has attended UAA since fall 2006 and is currently a full time student majoring in Sociology. As a Programming Specialist for the Career Services Center, Katie assists in making sure special events being held by the center are run successfully and that students are well prepared and assisted in their search for employment. In addition, she contributes in coordinating methods of marketing and advertising for both community and campus wide career fairs in order to reach a wide base of potential business recruits. As a current UAA student herself, Katie feels a very strong level of commitment to students visiting the Career Services Center and strives to assist them with their questions or concerns. In assisting with the operation process of the CSC Internship program, Katie communicates with both students and employers, helps in keeping student records and internship files in order, and informs prospective students of available internship programs. Katie enjoys having the opportunity to work with the rest of the CSC team and always looks forward to learning new things while working in the center.
