Upward Bound (UB) is one of the US Dept of Education TRiO grant programs.  The TRiO grants are designed to help students enter into and complete post-secondary education.

In addition to counseling, UB participants receive information about college admissions requirements, scholarships and various student financial aid programs. This program helps people from families with low incomes and lack college experience to better understand their educational opportunities and options.
