The purpose of the Elaine Atwood Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to University of Alaska Anchorage students who are formally admitted into the Journalism & Public Communications degree seeking program.

Award amount is two (2) scholarships at $5,000 per academic year

Qualifications:

• Applicant should demonstrate motivation, academic and leadership potential.
• Applicants must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0.
• Applicant must be formally admitted into the Journalism and Public Communications degree program at UAA.
  
• Applicant must plan on enrolling full-time (twelve (12) credits) at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
• Applicant may be an incoming or continuing student at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
• Applicant must be an Alaska resident who will pursue a career in Alaska
