UAA caring for those affected by Hurricane Katrina

Leadership and Campus Life Helping Those Affected By Hurricane Katrina

By: Diane Kozack   Sep 12, 2005

UAA is reaching out to people affected by Hurricane Katrina. Staff, faculty, students, and the community are invited to share ideas about how UAA can raise funds and establish both short and long term support for the affected areas. Students from universities in these areas have already begun to enroll at UAA.

A committee is actively facilitating connections between university and community resources. Designated university leaders have pledged to collaborate on upcoming events and are looking for your help as well. No idea is too big or small. The committee encourages you to share your ideas with a committee member by e-mail at leadership@uaa.alaska.edu, or by contacting Diane Kozak, Student Leadership Coordinator or Annie Route, Director of Campus Life.
