Jazz Week Benefit Concert

The UAA Department of Music is sponsoring the third concert in its annual Jazz Week Benefit Concert Series, Wednesday, December 7, 2005, 7:30 p.m. at the UAA Arts Building Recital Hall.

This concert will feature all UAA student groups: the 6 PM Vocal Jazz Combo (4 jazz vocalists with rhythm section), the 10 AM Jazz Combo (piano trio) and the UAA Jazz Ensemble (big band). This event will culminate evidence of students’ work through their participation in weekly rehearsals and various performance opportunities afforded each group through out the fall semester.

Selections will include standard jazz repertoire such as: Groovin’ High, No More Blues, Bill Bailey, Out of Nowhere, From This Moment On.

Tickets are $2 UAA students, $5 seniors, students and military and $10 general admission. Tickets are sold only at the door. Proceeds will benefit Jazz Week 2006, March 8-11.
