UAA Ranks #2 Nationally on Board Exam

The UAA Dental Hygiene Program class of 2005 ranked #2, out of 254 schools, on the National Written Board Examination for Dental Hygienists.The all-day exam, administered to graduating students in March of their senior year, is required for a state dental hygienist license. Students must also pass the Western Regional Board Examination, on which UAA has a 100 percent success rate. Ellen Kazor, former Program Coordinator, said, “These results exemplify the caliber of the Dental Hygiene students and the excellent education provided by a team of dedicated faculty”. UAA is nationally accredited by the American Dental Association.
