UAA Chancellor Lee Gorsuch is making a challenge gift in connection with the UAA Family Campaign.

For every gift made through the UAA Family Campaign, the Chancellor will match at a 1:1 ratio with a gift from the Chancellor’s Undesignated Fund.

Those gifts will support the Library of the 21st Century. Donations may be made to support program enhancements or scholarships, 100% of the challenge gift will go to support the Library

In a letter to the UAA community Gorsuch said, "As a member of the UAA family, you give so much in time, energy, and talent to UAA and our students.

You play a vital role in our ability to deliver programs of distinction to our students and the community. The state assistance that we receive covers less than 50% of the operating costs of the university.

It is with private support from alumni, friends and employees that we are able to enhance our programs and provide student scholarships—areas often not funded with state dollars. This private support helps us to achieve excellence! It is the fact that you choose to participate, not the amount that is important."
