We'd like to extend an invitation to the 2012 Alaska Native Oratory Society (AkNOS) Statewide Celebrationto be held Saturday April 14th in the Lucy Cudy Center. In April AkNOS participants from across the state will meet on the UAA campus to speak out on a variety of issues important to them as individuals and as members of families and communities. The speeches are sometimes funny and playful, other times they're very moving, and the power of some student speeches continue to influence us long after the event has ended.
Please join us as audience members, judges, family members, volunteers, and supporters of our 2012 statewide AkNOS student participants. Students will speak out in four speaking categories: Oratory, Native Languages, Storytelling, and Commemorative Narration.
