REMEMBER, you must certify your attendance EVERY MONTH with the VA. You can either call the office in Muskogee, OK at 1-877-823-2378 or certify online at www.gibill.va.gov. Other VA information can be obtained by contacting the VA in Oklahoma at 1-888-GIBILL-1 (1-888-442-4551).

REAP (1607) RECIPIENTS
Effective April 1, 2008 all REAP participants attending school must verify their attendance each month in order to receive payment. You can do this online by clicking on "Information for Benefit Recipients" on the left hand side of this page and then clicking on "Verify Your Attendance (WAVE)", or by calling our automated verification line at 877-823-2378 (877 VA-ECERT).

If you attended classes for the full month you cannot verify your attendance before the last calendar day of the month. If you attended classes for a partial month you can verify your attendance anytime after your enrollment ends.

New Students

New Student Checklist to Start VA Benefits

  1. Register for your educational benefits on VONAPP (Veterans On-line Application Process).
  2. Next, fill out the UAA "Request to Begin VA Benefits" form.

  3. Finally, turn in a signed copy of VONAPP.

Benefits Programs

The Montgomery GI Bill (MGIB)- Active Duty, provides up to 36 months of education benefits to eligible veterans. New students who are chapter 30 veterans, need to turn in a copy of there DD-214 (member 4) and along with a copy of a signed VONAPP and any other paper work such as a kicker.

Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment Program's, primary benefit program is vocational rehabilitation services for veterans who have a service-connected disability. To receive services a veteran must be found both eligible and entitled. New and returning students must have an up-to-date 1905 before each semester.

VEAP is available if you entered active duty between January 1, 1977 and June 30, 1985 and you elected to make contributions from your military pay to participate in this education benefit program.

Dependent's Educational Assistance Program provides education and training opportunities to eligible dependents of veterans who are permanently and totally disabled due to a service-related condition, or who died while on active duty or as a result of a service related condition, or who were POW/MIA.

The MGIB-SR program may be available to you if you are a member of the Selected Reserve. The Selected Reserve includes the Army Reserve, Navy Reserve, Air Force Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve and Coast Guard Reserve, and the Army National Guard and the Air National Guard.

This is a new Department of Defense education benefit program designed to provide educational assistance to members of the Reserve components called or ordered to active duty in response to a war or national emergency (contingency operation) as declared by the President or Congress. Reservist called to active duty as a result of 9/11.

This program is available to any student receiving VA education benefits who is attending school three-quarter time or more.
