    The 2nd annual Open House was held at the University Center where sponsors, guests as well as prospective and current students had a chance to "Celebrate Success" of the program. The Lieutenant Governor was one of the distinguished guest speakers at the event which was a resounding success, with at least 15 students intending to join the program in pursuit of a degree.

    The program chair and instructors traveled to Fairbanks and Juneau to conduct information meetings and training. An information meeting was also held in Anchorage on December 8. Fifteen prospective students attended, with over 10 new students enrolling in classes for the spring ’05 semester.

    The MSPM program hosted their first annual Open House. Over 200 people were able to learn about the program and related training, and meet other people interested in project management. Student testimonials were heard, door prizes and scholarships were awarded. Prospective students had a chance to meet with instructors, talk with other students, and enjoy a videos.

    At PMI’s Annual banquet, Friday, January 23rd, 2004; Dr. Ra was presented with the prestigious award (
    photo) which recognizes the most outstanding project completed for the year for the development and implementation of the Master of Science in Project Management program at the University of Alaska Anchorage. “Through his efforts Dr. Ra will make a tremendous difference in the State of Alaska and in the lives of hundreds of students and professionals that are now using project management principles in their workplace”, said Tom Sheffrey, President Elect for PMI Alaska Chapter.
