Alternate Format Material Requests

UAA uses an online accommodation system. This means students who are eligible for alternate format materials can make their requests for books through the online system.

Simply the accommodation for courses in which books are needed in an audio or accessible electronic document format.

Students will request alternate format materials for the courses, then once the request is approved, there will be an option to select the individual texts that are needed. (Our system is tied to the bookstore list so students don't have to type in the titles, authors, isbn, etc.

Proof of Purchase is Required for Alternate Formats

The UAA bookstore provides a convenient look-up feature that can be used to identify the textbook titles and authors.

  1. Go to bookstore.uaa.alaska.edu
This link will open the bookstore website in a new window
  2. Click on the link link that says "Create Book List"
  3. With the term and subject selected click "Search for Courses"
  4. Continue until all courses have been selected
  5. Click "Next Step - Select Books"

If there are any problems using the online accommodation process, this form can be used as a backup.
