The events planned are meant to address the needs of students, staff, faculty, and members of our community
Student Accommodation Overview sessions
These are open to all students, including those who are new, and those who want or need a refresher on how the accommodation process works.
These are scheduled for Wednesday January 11 and Friday January 20 at 10am and 4:30pm in the DSS office (RH 105).
Topics we will address include:
- How to use the online accommodation request process
- How to schedule tests
- How to request and use alternate formats, notetaking assistance, and livescribe loans
Tools and Techniques Series
These sessions feature both demonstration and hands-on practice with a variety of technologies. These sessions are scheduled as needed based on demand. If you would like to attend a session please use the DSS Feedback Form.

AK Civil Rights Month - Jan/Feb
The annual celebration coordinated through Campus Diversity and Compliance will include a variety of events and activities. Disability Support Services is sharing the Disability History Exhibit and faciltitating an online call for thoughts regarding Disability Rights.
Reel Eyes Showcase of Films by and About People who Experience Disability - March/April
2012 will mark the 9th year Reel Eyes takes place. The original event was a city-wide film showcase, but over the years additional communities across Alaska have joined in. We have been pleased to extend the engagement opportunities to both members of the community at large, and students who wish to earn credit through a more involved inquiry.
