Advisory Committee

A Community and Technical (CTC) advisory committee is a group of individuals selected by a department or program to advise the program and CTC regarding education needs and activities.

Collectively, a committee studies issues, advises, and makes recommendations regarding:

  • Current job needs
  • The relevance of current CTC programs
  • The reduction, deletion or expansion of programs
  • The initiation of new programs
  • Financial and legislative support
  • Promotion of CTC programs in the community

Committees act in an advisory capacity to the department, CTC and the University, and provide a strong link between UAA and the community.
