City-Wide Career & Job Fair: Friday, March 28th, 2008. All majors and community members welcome. Part time, full time, professional, internship, and seasonal positions!

Employers

Career Expos are a great opportunity for employers to recruit UAA students and upcoming graduates for open postions or internships. Please register with our website by clicking on the 'Employers' link on our home page and sign up for the Expo(s) that you would like to attend. You may also post jobs and internships on our website for students to apply for. Please contact us if you have any special needs for your table display or any questions regarding the Expo. Prior to the Expo we will send you a confirmation packet with the information and parking passes that you will need. Let us know if there is anything we can do to assist you or to enhance your Career Expo experience with us.

All UAA students are welcome to attend any Career Expo. Even if you are not graduating soon, you may find employment to assist you in paying your school bill or to meet other financial needs. You may also find or develop an internship as a result of your attending an Expo. If you are graduating soon, you may find a position with a company to launch your career. Or maybe, you just want to wander through and see what it is all about. Whatever the reason, all UAA students are welcome to attend.

Student Preparation

1. Bring copies of your resume to give to the employers that you are interested in working with.

2. Dress appropriately. First impressions are very important in the employment seeking process. Employers are looking for kept, clean, neat, and professional appearances.

3. Think about some general questions that you could ask employers.

4. A smile with a firm and confident handshake is a must.
