Spring 2009

During the second semester of the Undergraduate Mentoring Seminar Series, activities are focused on faculty pursuing the undergraduate mentoring certificate. Certificate participants will be required to write a proposal on how undergraduates will be integrated into their research and scholarship program. The document will be evaluated by a faculty review committee to assess the quality of the proposal. If the faculty member’s proposal passes the criteria of the committee, the participant will be awarded a Certificate of Completion at the annual Undergraduate Research and Discovery Symposium. The participants will also be expected to give a short presentation outlining their proposal and research program.  The second semester of the Undergraduate Mentoring Seminar Series will be conducted according to the following schedule.
