Dr. Essayyad served in the Ambassador Program of the Anchorage Organizing Committee during its bid to host the Winter Olympics. He is also active in a number of civic organizations, including the Alaska Islamic Cultural Center, the Arab Organization for the Protection of Human Rights, and the American Arab Anti-Defamation Committee. Dr. Essayyad is the author of numerous works on international banking and finance printed in such publications as the Quarterly Journal of Business and Economics, the Journal of Real Estate Appraisal and Economics, Advances in Quantitative Finance and Accounting, and The International Trade Journal. He has presented numerous papers to finance organizations al over the world and currently has six journal articles under review for publication.
