Alaska Native Writers, Storytellers & Orators
Book cover of Alaska native Writers Storytellers & Orators The Alaska Native stories in this outstanding anthology are the literary gambling sticks that win back a native spirit, consciousness, and sense of presence. There are giant storiers here who create a wise, bright, visionary sense of native survivance....These stories are traces of native reason and memories as the birch trees are traces of the catkin, and salmon are memories of the rivers. (Gerald Vizenor, from the Introduction). Alaska Native Writers, Storytellers & Orators is published by the Alaska Quarterly Review AQR's website: http://www.uaa.alaska.edu/aqr
