• Continue as a non-degree-seeking student by applying under the new non-degree-seeking admission option;
  or
• Apply as a degree-seeking student. Students who intend to earn certificates or degrees should choose this option.

Non-Degree-Seeking Admission

This track is designed for students taking classes for personal interest, professional development, recreation, or any reason other than to earn a certificate or degree.

The process has been streamlined:

• Easy electronic application form.
• No application fee.
• No application deadlines.
• No transcripts or test scores to submit.

Students who miss the application deadline for degree-seeking status may also attend classes under this option, subject to the important restrictions noted below. Non-degree-seeking admission status remains active as long as you register for at least one course per academic year or until it is replaced by admission to a certificate or degree program. Students who miss more than one academic year must re-apply upon return.

Important Restrictions

Non-degree-seeking students are not eligible to receive financial aid, apply for international student visas, or earn university certificates or degrees.

Procedure

1. Complete the online application.
   1. Select "UAA Non-Degree-Seeking" in the drop down Application Type menu.
   2. Complete all required fields.
   3. Submit.

2. Allow 3 working days for processing before attempting to register for classes.
