This garden has been designed to complement a suite at a boutique hotel, where a couple could enjoy a romantic weekend away. An outdoor sofa is positioned on the deck overlooking the pool, sheltered from the sun under the contemporary pergola.
The planting is both evergreen and seasonal, with Buxus spheres to give year-round interest, and evergreen climbers including Trachelospermum jasminoides to fill the garden with their heady scent. Seasonal planting such as nasturtiums and convolvulus creates vibrant colour throughout the summer. This loose, informal planting blurs the edges of the angular hard landscaping, and gives the contemporary space a relaxed, romantic atmosphere.
