This garden uses light and shade to create strong focal points, along with planting and structures.
A metal spiral walkthrough is surrounded by a canopy of tall planting with a raised deck at the back for perfect viewing of the garden. Designed for a suburban environment, the garden forms part of a large plot and is enclosed by boundary walls to enhance the effects of the shade and light.
A combination of paving materials flow from the water feature at the top of the garden towards the front.
Bold foliage plants feature, as well as a canopy of Dicksonia antarctica.
Designer John Everiss was awarded a Silver Medal in 2005 and a Silver-Gilt Medal in 2006 for his previous show gardens at Tatton.
