A Trial at Wisley provided the opportunity to look into the origins of some of the new cultivars. This research has culminated in the publication of a paper, Genetic and morphological analysis of the origin and identity of perennial Lavatera (Malvaceae) cultivars in the Journal of the American Society for Horticultural Science.
