Supporting Charities
Every year the proceeds from the Charity Gala Preview are donated to horticultural causes. We are pleased to announce that for 2007 the beneficiaries will be the Royal Horticultural Society and Historic Royal Palaces.

The Royal Horticultural Society
The Royal Horticultural Society, the UK's leading gardening charity, is committed to creating excellence in horticulture and promoting gardening.
The Gala Preview provides valuable support enabling the RHS to carry out its charitable work to help millions of people to benefit from gardening. Our charitable activities range from providing advice and inspiration through to running education programmes and conducting research into plants and environmental issues affecting gardeners.
The RHS has more than 365,000 members and for every pound received from members' subscriptions, we need to raise more than twice as much again to fund our charitable work. We rely on donations and sponsorship to supplement income from our garden operations, flower shows, shops and plant centres. Thank you for your support.
Historic Royal Palaces

The proceeds from the 2007 Hampton Court Palace Flower Show Charity Gala Preview will contribute directly to Historic Royal Palaces’ restoration of the Lower Orangery at Hampton Court Palace.
Historic Royal Palaces is the independent charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, the Banqueting House, Kensington Palace and Kew Palace. The charity helps everyone explore the story of how monarchs and people have shaped society, in some of the greatest palaces ever built. It receives no funding from the Government or the Crown, so depends on the support of its visitors, members, donors, volunteers and sponsors.
The Lower Orangery Garden
Restoration of the Lower Orangery
William III and Mary II brought to Hampton Court Palace their passion for collecting and displaying exotic plants. Mary’s collection included more than 2,000 different species. Historic Royal Palaces’ aspiration is to re-introduce Mary’s incredible collection to the Lower Orangery at Hampton Court Palace, and to recreate the beautiful, specially made containers she used to showcase her plants. No other surviving seventeenth-century garden in the country displays exotics in this manner, and this restoration will ensure Hampton Court's gardens remain some of the finest in Europe.
In aid of the RHS and Historic Royal Palaces. Organised by RHS Special Events Ltd. Registered company number 3119017.
