LMU’s Upward Bound Awarded $1.2 Million

The money, from the U.S. Department of Education, will support the program at Loyola Marymount University, which each year helps more than 50 financially disadvantated students from Westchester Enriched Sciences Magnet prepare to be college students.

LMU Hosts Race to
Raise Funds for Schools

More than a thousand people came to Loyola Marymount this weekend for the 2012 Race for Success, a 5K run-walk that benefits schools in Westchester, Playa Vista and Playa del Rey. That includes hundreds of children who participated in the kids’ 1K race.
