Noted scholar and author Dr. Byron E. Price will assume the position of Dean of the School of Business at Medgar Evers College, effective July 31, 2012. As Dean, Dr. Price shall steward the School through successful completion of its re-accreditation process with the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs and further strengthen the School’s role as a center for business and economic discourse.

Medgar Evers College’s newest building, Academic Building (ABI), is proud to announce it has been awarded the 2012 Building Brooklyn Award in the Education category. The Building Brooklyn Awards are awarded annually by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, recognizing recently completed new and renovation construction projects with a positive impact on the borough’s economy and quality of life. Officially opened in October of 2010, AB1 houses the College’s School of Science, Health and Technology, a new cafeteria, computer-enabled smart classrooms, cutting-edge labs, and the Edison O. Jackson auditorium. The five-story 194,000 square foot building, the campus’ fourth, was a $247 million dollar construction project, built with generous funding from New York City and New York State.
