The mission of The MFA in Media Arts Production program is to prepare emerging media makers to navigate and prosper in the rapidly expanding field of media arts. Our faculty of award-winning independent filmmakers are dedicated to the principals of strong original storytelling through the creation of socially meaningful, visually engaging and cost effective digital films.  

This two-year MFA is the only graduate-level program of its kind, offering Documentary and Fiction tracks in an affordable/accessible public institution. We are a diverse learning community, located in New York City--the number one media market in the world--with ready access to the finest talent, locations, organizations and production facilities.
