Current Students

The Division of Interdisciplinary Studies at the Center for Worker Education is designed to specifically serve working adults whose access to higher education may have been limited by age, income, work situation, or family responsibilities. The Division of Interdisciplinary Studies at the Center for Worker Education provides an excellent interdisciplinary B degree in interdisciplinary arts & science and a BS degree in early childhood education. Possible concentrations of study include cultural & historical studies, human services, labor studies, literature, communication & the arts, and public administration.

The Division of Interdisciplinary Studies at the Center for Worker Education maintains mutually beneficial ties to employers, labor unions, agencies, and community organizations that have similar educational goals for their members and employees.The Division of Interdisciplinary Studies at the Center for Worker Education provides opportunities for advancement for a diverse and non-traditional student body. Over half of the students are minority. Our graduates reflect the multi-ethnic composition of New York City. They come from all five boroughs and work in many different occupations.
