This group provides general software training for students and custom training for staff. This group also provides financial services for all IT departments including processing requisitions, handling Temp Services, and budgeting. IT Finance/HR services for all groups are also centralized in this department.

About the Software Training Center (STC)
The Software Training Center (STC) was initiated in Fall 2003 by the Student Technology Intern Program (STIP) to offer software training in a friendly atmosphere with state-of-the-art technology to all CCNY students. The STC offers training in Matlab (Computational Methods), C++, AutoCad, all Microsoft Office appplications such as word processing, database design and management, electronic spreadsheets, graphical presentation and publication in a customer-friendly environment. The STIP creates opportunities for a select group of undergraduates to become part of this staff and gain advanced skills in the use of computer software, the development of teaching skills and the use of advanced technology. Additional assistance in using the various software applications is available for graduate students from the Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning.

About it finance/hr
IT Finance/HR is responsible for calculating the college's
Tech Fee each year. The Tech Fee is calculated by taking the information that is submitted on forms distributed to each School and Department. The
Tech Fee covers the cost and distribution of hardware/software and personnel requirements that each department submits. These requests are filled according to availability and priorities within the Schools and Departments. IT Finance/HR is responsible for hiring part time/full time hourly employees for different functions within CCNY IT.
