Wilson Okumu Owuor, a native of Kenya, is a physics major at City College. His goal is to become a resourceful educator as well as a policymaker who can help revitalize the educational system to make learning more palatable and effective. Wilson’s experience interacting with students as a tutor with the Harlem Scholars Program and realizing the challenges they faced sparked his interest in education. As a fellow, he hopes to take that interest to a higher level. He believes that the nobility of working in the educational sector reveals itself through the product of one’s efforts and the lives of those touched.
