CUNY Dominican Studies Institute Archives

Founded in 1992 at The City College of New York, the Dominican Studies Institute of the City University of New York is the first and only university-based research institute in the United States devoted to the study of people of Dominican descent.

DOMINICAN ARCHIVES

Mission

The mission of the Dominican Archives is to identify, appraise, accession, process, preserve and provide access to archival materials that document the contributions and experience of the Dominican population in the United States. The Archives compliments the efforts of the Institute’s library and research programs, greatly enriching the supply of primary source available to scholars, students and faculty in the area of Dominican studies.

The Dominican Archives hours are the same as for the Dominican Library. Click here.

The Archives and Library facility is located in the North Academic Center building (2nd floor).
