Under the leadership of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs & Provost, the Office is responsible for overseeing the Division of Academic Affairs, which includes the Schools of Arts and Sciences, Business and Information Systems, and Health and Behavioral Sciences, as well as many of the offices that support the educational endeavors of the College.
The Provost upholds the highest academic and intellectual quality standards through oversight of faculty appointments, the promotion and tenure process, and the development of the College’s various academic programs. Working with the Deans, faculty committees, and senior administrators, the Office of Academic Affairs develops the institution's academic priorities and oversees their implementation, including the academic budgets necessary to achieve those priorities. The Office also facilitates, coordinates and implements academic policies, procedures, and standards for both students and faculty.
