WOU's Triangle Alliance and National Residence Hall Honorary will be hosting this fun-filled night of performances, FREE FOOD, games and prizes! Day of Silence will be hosted by ASWOU up until 6pm, at which point TA will take over to break the silence. Day of Silence is a day of remembrance for LGBTQ youth who have been silenced through bullying. Participants pledge silence for the day to represent the voices lost due to bullying. Night of Noise is a retaliation of sorts, and a celebration that symbolizes hope for an equal and accepting future. To show our support and help others speak out, we will have CM Hall as our keynotes speaker, followed by performances from Twice United, V!BE, and many other individual artists. We will have an open mic portion where attendees can share personal experiences or slam poetry. Lastly, we will finish off the night with a fun game of Drag Bingo, where we will be handing out prizes such as an iPod nano, movie baskets, CD's from popular artists, and a $50 gift card to High Priestess! If you have a disability that may require some accommodation in order to participate in a Western Oregon University activity, please notify the Office of Disability Services at 503-838-8250 or ods@wou.edu at least 72 hours in advance.
