WOU Special Education Programs Recruitment

The WOU Special Educator and Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education (EI/SE) programs in the College of Education are recruiting prospective students for our 2014-16 cohort. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree (or higher) by the start of the Fall 2014 term. Students holding an undergraduate or graduate degree in teacher education are encouraged to apply (we have a shortened program). Applicants, however, do NOT need to have completed a teacher education program and we welcome applicants with majors in English, Math, any Science, History, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, etc. We are holding an Information Session for prospective candidates on Monday, December 9th, 2013, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in Hamersly Library, Rm 107. Please call 503-838-8324 or email heidek@wou.edu to register so we know how many attendees we will have.

A Global Journey; Music from Around the World

The Chamber Singers, Concert Choir & Vibe will perform "A Global Journey; Music from Around the World." The concert is directed by Dr. Kevin Helppie.

46th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting

The 46th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting, themed "Illuminating Traditions" will take place Friday, December 6th. Some notable programs hosted during this event include the Holiday Cookie Bake-off contest sampling, pictures with Santa, choir concert by local participating schools, and an arts and crafts project sponsored by the Residence Hall Association.

Historic Gentle House Holiday Open House

Following the Tree Lighting, enjoy warm drinks, holiday treats, visit with friends and neighbors while listening to the sounds of the pump organ in the cozy warmth of Historic Gentle House. Stop by for a few minutes or stay for awhile. Parking available.
