Description:    As one of only two institutions dedicated to collections related to Arctic life, the Jensen Arctic Museum opened on the Western Oregon University campus in 1985 by emeritus professor Dr. Paul H. Jensen. Although WOU made the difficult decision to cease operation of the Jensen Museum due to funding challenges, the collection will be moved to the University of Oregon Museum of Natural Cultural History in 2014. We offer this exhibit as a tribute to Dr. Paul Jensen as we bid a fond farewell to the museum.

The ETC is staffed by five linguistics students who are working on getting their Teaching English as a Foreign Language Certificate when they graduate. This means that they are all well qualified to help you with anything you might bring them. Between these five tutors, they can cover everything from how to learn to easily read your course textbooks or articles to how to carry a fluent conversation with a speaker of English, to English sentence structure, and more. This tutoring service is free for all students, and tutoring is scheduled by drop-in appointments.
