2nd Annual Fundie Run

Celebrate Homecoming 2013 by joining the 2nd annual run by taking off your clothes and donating them to charity! Each participant must donate at least 2 items of clothing. Proceeds will go to Monmouth Food Bank.

Bonfire Kick-Off

WOU students, staff and faculty as well as the surrounding community of Monmouth and Independence are invited to kick-off Homecoming Week by gathering around the fire and singing the school fight song! Join us and enjoy appearances by the football and the WOU cheer team. With a number of activities and games schedules such as a pie eating contest and an egg toss competition, the kickoff will be a night to remember. Prizes will be available as well as complimentary apple cider, provided by E.Z. Orchards.

Sociologist and author Mimi Goldman wrote a book that a lot of people didn?t like?but not for the reasons you'd think. Come hear Professor Goldman talk about her book, The American Soul Rush: Esalen and the Rise of Spiritual Privilege. More about Marion Goldman: She is an Emeritus Professor of Sociology and Religious Studies at the University of Oregon. She is currently a Scholar in Residence at the Portland Center for Public Humanities, where she is exploring the dynamic relationship between faith and food.
