TRI follows the policies and procedures of Western Oregon University. Every TRI employee will receive an orientation that includes an overview of the WOU policies with special attention to those directly related to working at TRI. A print copy of those policies most applicable to TRI are in the TRI Business Office, the TRI mailroom and the Eugene Office. If you have a question about these policies contact Cindi Mafit in the Business Office.
Do you have an employment related question or concern? TRI employees who have a concern or a complaint related to working at TRI should follow these steps:
Step #1: Communicate your concern to your immediate supervisor and attempt to work out an understanding or resolution.
Step #2: If a resolution is not reached, please confer with our TRI ombudsperson, Cindi Mafit.
Step #3 If a resolution is not reached at Step #2, contact the Director, John Killoran. At this step, we will resolve the issue or proceed with a formal grievance. You will find the grievance process on the WOU website under Policies and Procedures or in Oregon Administrative Rules Division 10 the Rules of Procedures for the Handling of Disputes and Grievances for Students and Unclassified Professional Employees, and Complaints of Discrimination at WOU found at http://arcweb.sos.state.or.us/banners/rules.htm .
