The resources listed below are here to help members of the GLBTQQIA community find safe places to connect with their community and seek help in the event they experience power-based personal violence.

WOU Safe Zone Program: Providing Education to the WOU Community about GLBTQ Inclusiveness

The Western Oregon University Safe Zone program seeks to form an allying network of students, faculty and staff committed and trained to provide safe, non-judgmental and supportive contacts for all WOU community members regarding Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, and Allies (GLBTQQIA) issues; we are committed to providing a campus atmosphere of universal acceptance and assistance.

Vision: To provide continuing education to the community about GLBTQ inclusiveness on and off campus.

Bradley-Angle House (Portland): Oregon's Only Culturally-Specific Program for LGBTQ Survivors

Bradley Angle provides culturally-relevant, anti-oppressive support and advocacy for self-identified LGBTQ

folks of all genders who are surviving abuse.

LGBTQ support services are kink- and poly-friendly and inclusive of the wide variety of identities within the LGBTQ community.

Services are free and confidential. They include support groups, individual advocacy, resource referrals, safety planning, basic needs assistance, and shelter/housing assistance.

Bradley Angle also offers Healthy Relationships classes that explore: identifying and communicating personal values, boundaries and, negotiation, handling conflict, accountability, strengthening community networks, and more!  This class is open to any self-identified LGBTQ person, single or in a relationship: poly, monogamous, open, or exploring. Couples and partners are welcome to sign up together.
