Contact your faculty advisor to schedule a meeting during week 6 of the term to review your DegreeWorks audit and plan your registration for the next term so that you remain on track to graduate. Confirm that you will be ready to apply to graduate in the following term.
Friday, Week 2 of the term: Apply to graduate no later than Friday of week two. NOTE: Based on your conversation in the previous term you and your advisor should be confident that you will graduate as planned before you apply, because if you don’t graduate as scheduled, you will have to reapply for graduation in a different term and pay the $50 fee again.
Contact your faculty advisor to schedule a meeting during week 6 of the term to plan for your registration for the next term. Review your DegreeWorks worksheet in detail to determine if you will be able to meet your graduation requirements with your upcoming term's registration.
Week 6: The Registrar’s Office will send you a letter & email to confirm if you are projected to be able to graduate at the end of the NEXT TERM. If it says you will not graduate in the next term, see your faculty advisor IMMEDIATELY. Responses to letters are due by the Friday of Week 8.
Friday, Week 3: Approved substitutions and exceptions towards your degree requirements must be fully completed and turned in by this date for you to earn a degree at the end of the term.
Friday, Week 5: Using the provided web page, submit any necessary diploma name changes to insure that your name appears as you want it to on your diploma. (Note: Change of legal name requires you to go to WOU’s Payroll office with ID.)
Friday, Week 10: Using the provided web page, submit your diploma mailing address.
Spring Commencement Ceremony Deadlines:
- Eligibility to Attend
Students that have completed a degree Summer 2015, Fall 2015, or Winter 2016 or that are pending award of their degree in Spring or Summer 2016 may attend the Commencement ceremony.
Students that have not yet had their degree awarded should be aware that participation in the Commencement ceremony does not mean you have been awarded your degree. Please be sure to follow through with all remaining requirements after Commencement.
Week 6 thru Week 8: Register online to attend the Commencement Ceremony. The last date to officially register is Friday, May 20, 2016.
The Commencement Ceremony will take place June 11, 2016.
