There is only one week until Summer Bridge Peer Advisor applications are due. If you are interested in spending a week living on campus with 30 incoming freshmen and making their experience with Western a positive one, this is your opportunity. Peer Advisors help to “bridge the gap” between high school and college. Summer Bridge will be held the week prior to New Student Week, September 14-20, 2008. If you are interested in applying or have questions, please stop by the SEP office. Applications must be turned in by Friday, February 29th.
If you are interested in attending ‘The Mystery of Edwin Drood’, stop by the SEP office to get your name on the list…there are a lot of different days to choose from. Don’t miss this! It is sure to be a great production.
The Mystery of Edwin Drood, is a musical based on Charles Dickens' unfinished novel. The show tells the story of the upstanding young Edwin Drood who mysteriously disappears and is presumably murdered. But who did it? Was it his drug-addicted, romantic rival John Jasper? The infamous Princess Puffer? Reverend Mr. Crisparkle? Helena or Neville Landless, immigrants from Ceylon? Someone else?
In the end, the audience gets to decide
Are you a first or second year student? Do you receive a Pell Grant? Do you take advantage of the services that SEP offers? If so, you are eligible for SEP Grant Aid. Each year, SEP offers grants to its first or second year participants, who are receiving a Pell Grant, to help offset loans or to help with unmet need. If you are interested in free money, stop by the SEP office to pick up an application. Deadline is April 11th.
