Summer Bridge Program

The purpose of Summer Bridge:

To “bridge the gap” between high school and college by providing exposure and orientation to the campus environment; to educate students about campus and community resources; and to assist students in building skills that will support them to degree completion.

Students will experience and receive:

• Two graded college credits for participating in the Summer Bridge Program
• Early move in to your permanent Fall term assigned residence hall room
• Residential living, dining, and entertainment at no cost
• Exposure to campus and community resources
• Workshops & activities designed to prepare you for success at WOU such as:
• Writing your first college paper
• Budgeting and personal finances
• Panel programs with current SEP students on transitioning into college life
• Social events and community service
• Additional workshops by WOU professional staff and faculty
• Initial intake and academic advisement appointments
