Mission
To train and prepare teachers in the special education needs of children from birth to age 8, and to teach strategies for meeting those needs.

Credit Requirements

• MS in Education: Special Education - 45 credits
• EI/SE Endorsement I - 21 credits (for students with teaching license)
• EI/SE Endorsement II - 45 credits (for students without teaching license)

Program Format
The Master of Science in Education: Special Education requires a minimum of 45 graduate credits of which the majority are in special education. Students entering this program may include content from license/endorsement programs such as the special educator or the early intervention special education programs. Candidates may have, but are not required to have, prior teaching license.
