Instructional Design at WOU

Welcome to the instructional design and technology integration webpage. We are here to be a resource for you as you design and develop your courses.

What is instructional design? Instructional design is the practice of planning or creating educational resources in order to ensure a quality learning experience for students. We have an instructional design team on staff with DEP to help you develop your online, hybrid and traditional courses.

Technology is an important factor in good course design. Modern communication technology has changed the way people do business, socialize, and learn. In order to stay competitive in an increasingly digital world, our graduates must have relevant skills. Effective technology use in your courses can not only save you time and help you address diverse learning needs as an instructor, but it can also foster these necessary technology skills among your students.

Need help designing a class? Please contact Elayne Kuletz, the campus instructional design coordinator with questions and suggestions.
