Background: Christopher Bruce is a former crime analyst who served at the Cambridge (MA) Police Department from 1994-2001 and the Danvers (MA) Police Department from 2001-2010. He was the president of the International Association of Crime Analysts (IACA) from 2007-2012 and the vice president from 2000-2006; he was also president of the Massachusetts Association of Crime Analysts (MACA) from 2000-2004.
Since 2010, Christopher has occupied himself with a variety of teaching roles and contract work. He is the contracted Analytical Specialist for the Data-Driven Approaches to Crime and Traffic Safety (DDACTS) program of the U.S. Departments of Transportation and Justice, a senior researcher for Fisher College in Boston, a senior analyst at Justice and Security Strategies, Inc., a trainer for the IACA, and project manager for the International Assocication of Directors of Law Enforcment Standards and Training (IADLEST). In addition to Western Oregon University, Christopher also teaches at Tiffin University's graduate program in criminal justice, and he has previously been on the faculty of Suffolk University, Westfield State University, and the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Christopher lives in New Hampshire and enjoys travel, classic films, and jazz.
