Major and Minor Requirements

In addition to the LACCs and the Bachelor designation of your degree, every student is required to select a major specialization. WOU offers over 55 different Major options. Majors at WOU range between 52 and 133 credits.

Most majors also require a minor, which can be paired to complement the chosen major. Courses used to fulfill the major requirements can NOT also be used in the minor. WOU has over 60 minor options ranging from 15 to 33 credits.

The following are links to the majors available for both the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the College of Education.

Please refer to an Academic Advisor if you need help choosing a major, or you can visit our exploratory webpage.

If you have questions about any particular major, it is best to contact the department in which you are interested.
