On behalf of the officers of the Administrative Support Council (ASC), I'd like to welcome you to our webpage. The Administrative Support Council is an advisory group serving at the request and in service of the President of Western Oregon University. Mainly our function is to inform the WOU President of issues, concerns, and improvements we see for the institution as a whole and with respect to the working conditions of unclassified staff in particular. All unclassified staff (non-faculty) are members of the ASC and are represented by nine elected officers from across campus.
As we begin the 2011-12 academic year, we know that the winds of change are blowing. The ASC looks forward to working with the interim WOU President for the next two years and will be certain to represent the viewpoints of unclassified staff when the search begins for a permanent replacement.
The ASC holds meetings open to all ASC members the second Thursday of each month (September through June) at 2:00pm on the second floor of the ITC building (Center for Teaching and Learning). Please feel free to attend one (or all) of the meetings and/or share your concerns, questions, or thanks to one of the elected representatives.
