Interdisciplinary Studies

Modern career opportunities are shifting, and students may decide they want a broader scope of learning outcomes.

The Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS) degree program is flexibile and allows students to select complementary coursework from different departments and divisions, providing them with a familiarity in content from many disciplines.

An Interdisciplinary Studies Degree might be a good choice if:

  • You are undecided and still considering your choices of major
  • You have almost completed some major requirements and are considering making a change
  • You are a transfer or returning student with multiple transcripts

With the help of an academic advisor, you may develop your own degree plan that has the flexibility to tailor your course selections to match specific areas of interest, career goals and / or future graduate studies.

Read the IDS Brochure!
