These upper-division courses focus primarily on the application of art and design concepts to Internet communications. While developing understanding of current web design techniques, students author a wide range of sites to convey information effectively, provide structured systems of interactivity, and create expressive artworks. Projects expand to include mobile devices and interactive digital media installation. Readings and discussions explore histories of hypermedia and consider the roles of networks as vital cultural elements. Course numbers: A323, A324, A325.
