Seabeck is a Deaf-Blind retreat center located west of Seattle. Volunteers can support staff with Deaf-Blind adults from around the U.S. who are on vacation at the facility. Space is limited to 10 students. Volunteers:
- Must be ASL fluent (complete up to ASL 8 by June 2008) or be accepted into the interpreting program by June 2008
- Work as guides, escorts, and/or support service providers
- Stay in dorm-style housing on retreat grounds with meals provided
- Can earn academic credit in ASL/INT
- Build better resumes
- Gain leadership opportunities
