Regional Resource Center on Deafness

Housed in the Division of Deaf Studies and Professional Studies, Western Oregon University's Regional Resource Center on Deafness prepares professionals in the Northwest to become qualified to serve the unique communication, rehabilitation, and educational needs of deaf and hard of hearing children and adults.

American Sign Language Major

Cheryln Elisabeth McCary shares her experience with the ASL Major here at WOU and why she loves it so much.

Mission

To prepare professionals to provide unique communication, rehabilitation, and educational services to individuals with disabilities or special needs. The Division promotes respect and sensitivity for others in order to enhance the quality of life for all.
